This assignment is
composed of 3 small tasks that together will form hands-on
introduction and exposure to key e-commerce technologies.
Digital ID.
Set up your Personal
Digital ID for secure e-mail. Use
Verisign. You can use the 60 day free ID or buy one that will last you
for a while. You assignment
is to send one digitally signed e-mail message to Prof. Carmel.
Auction.
Numerous sites have consumer
auctions, eBay is the best known. Bid and win in an e-auction or
place an item on sale and sell it.
Internet Based Payment
System.
Send $5 to a friend using a service such as PayPal. [in exchange have the
friend send $5 back to you].
Provide
paper evidence that you have completed these tasks by printing out documents
or receipts to hand in.
