Q: Why does StartMyHome.com promote AAC?
A: Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is a lightweight, structural building material that insulates and provides fire resistance. Babb International, the host of this website, is currently the only manufacturer in the United States making AAC from 70% flyash. The vision to establish an online homebuilding community sprang from the desire to reach individuals in the custom homebuilding market. Because the market is so fragmented, there is no simple way to acomplish the task. And so the vision was formed.
