In the present paper, the Association of German Banks takes a closer look at the real and purported weaknesses in the market environment and the regulatory framework that are currently under discussion. Ten topics ranging from current accounts to consumers' statutory cancellation rights and the association's Ombudsman Scheme provide the English-speaking public with an overview of the key features of a customer/bank relationship in Germany.
