Yager Leadership & Team Development We formed in the early 1970s under the name Consulting Associates. Located at that time in the Detroit Michigan area we began specializing in the Assessment Center Method and in training and learning design. By the mid-seventies our reputation had grown until we were identified by Training Magazine as one of the "Big Three"in management training and selection. Hudson Company in Detroit (now Marshal Fields), and at the Ford Motor Company. He has been at the forefront of training, organization development and management assessment activities for his entire career. He represented Ford as a member of the Training Research Forum (a group of researchers and development specialists from firms like G.M., AT&T, Prudential, and a dozen others pioneering behavioral and competency based learning. He was a founding member of the Assessment Center Research Group, and a contributor to the Ethical Standards For The Conduct of Assessment Centers (a landmark document that was adopted by every federal agency, and related professional associations). He majored in education at the University of Detroit and Brigham Young University, has an Executive MBA from Michigan State, and a DBA from Indiana Northern University. He has spoken before 100's of training, H.R., management and professional conventions and associations, and has authored over 250 books, book chapters, articles, and customer training programs. He was an instructor for the renowned Management of Managers program (University of Michigan) for nearly 25 years involving over 10,000 participants, and is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Utah, and an adjunct professor at Weber University. He has specialized in assessing, coaching, and evaluating managers and executives, leadership, team training and development, and customer service.
